Chelsea Hearing Care
Local, Expert, Unhurried

Premium care,
close to Chelsea.

From the galleries of West Chelsea to the blocks around the High Line, we care for neighbors who want honest, unhurried hearing care close to home.

From Chelsea, our office at 421 7th Avenue, entrance on W 33rd Street, is a brief walk north along 7th Avenue or a single stop on the 1, 2, or 3 train from 28th Street to 34th Street Penn Station. The C and E trains at 23rd Street are another easy option, arriving at 34th Street in one stop. Most Chelsea patients reach our door in under 20 minutes.

Chelsea brings us a wide mix of patients: longtime residents, creative professionals, performing artists, and people who work in the galleries and studios of West Chelsea. Many share the same concern, a growing sense that their hearing is not as sharp as it once was, and a preference for a practice that does not rush them through. That is exactly what we offer.

We also see Chelsea musicians, sound designers, and performers seeking custom hearing protection, in-ear monitors, and musicians' earplugs. West Chelsea's arts community has specific hearing health needs, and our clinical team is experienced in addressing them. Sensaphonics and Westone custom products are fitted here, and we work with patients across every genre.

Chelsea Questions
Good to Know

Common
questions.

A few things Chelsea patients often ask before a first visit.

Is your office walkable from Chelsea?+
For much of Chelsea, yes. We are at 421 7th Avenue near W 33rd Street, a short walk or one subway stop away.
Do you offer prompt appointments?+
We keep our schedule deliberately unhurried and still do our best to see new Chelsea patients quickly. Call 646-436-7590 to find a time.
Which trains stop closest to your office?+
The 1, 2, and 3 trains stop at 34th Street Penn Station, one block from our entrance on W 33rd Street. From Chelsea, the C and E at 23rd Street are convenient, arriving at 34th Street in one stop. The 28th Street station on the 1 line is also an easy walk.
Do you see musicians and performing artists?+
Yes. We fit custom musician earplugs, in-ear monitors, and Sensaphonics and Westone custom hearing protection. We also evaluate hearing for musicians and assess tinnitus in those affected by years of noise exposure. Chelsea's creative community is a natural fit for the care we provide.
How long does a first hearing evaluation take?+
Plan for 60 to 90 minutes for a comprehensive first visit. That includes a full audiological evaluation, a review of your history and concerns, and a clear explanation of your results. We do not rush. If hearing aids are appropriate, we discuss options without pressure and let you take the time you need to decide.
Do you accept insurance?+
Yes. We verify your benefits before your appointment and will tell you exactly what is covered. Many patients have partial coverage for hearing aids through VSP, Aetna, Cigna, or an employer plan. Medicare covers diagnostic evaluations but not hearing aids. We walk you through all of this before you commit to anything.
