Pinnacle Audiology was founded on a simple conviction: that the patient comes before the numbers. That hearing care should feel personal, unhurried, and built entirely around the person in the chair, not a quota, a quick screening, or a hard sell, but a relationship that lasts for years.

How We Began

After more than a decade inside one of New York's leading academic medical centers, our founder saw both what hearing care could be, and what too often gets in its way.

Dr. Eric Nelson spent thirteen years as the Audiology Supervisor at Weill Cornell Medicine, managing the audiology service at one of the country's top hospitals. He loved the rigor and the science. But across the wider industry he kept seeing the same quiet problem: practices run on volume, where patients are moved through quickly and pushed toward the device with the biggest margin.

He believed it could work the other way around, that if you simply put the patient ahead of the numbers, everything good follows. Better testing. Better fittings. Better outcomes. And patients who stay, and refer their families, for years.

So he built that practice. Pinnacle Audiology opened to bring academic-medical-center expertise into a setting that feels nothing like a hospital, warm, calm, unhurried, and completely centered on you. No rushing. No upselling. No one-size-fits-all. Just careful, honest, expert care.

Where We're Growing

From Herald Square to Garden City, and carefully outward from there.

Pinnacle began in the heart of Manhattan, steps from Herald Square, and grew to a second home in Garden City on Long Island. Two neighborhoods, two communities, one standard of care.

We are expanding, but deliberately. Growth never comes at the cost of the philosophy that started us. Every new chapter, whether a new location, an at-home visit across the region, or remote care now reaching New York, New Jersey, and Vermont, carries the same promise: the same unhurried attention, the same brand-neutral honesty, the same doctor-led standard.

We would rather grow slowly and keep every patient feeling like our only patient than grow fast and become just another chain. That patience is the point. It is what Pinnacle is.
