Pinnacle Audiology is not a hearing aid store. We are a concierge audiology practice — a small, doctor-led office in Midtown Manhattan where every patient receives the kind of personalized attention that has largely disappeared from healthcare.

If you are used to being rushed through appointments, pressured into purchases you are not sure about, or treated like a number, the experience here will feel different.

What Concierge Audiology Means at Pinnacle

Extended appointments. Your first visit is not a 20-minute screening. We take the time to understand your hearing history, your communication challenges, your lifestyle, and your goals. A comprehensive evaluation at Pinnacle typically runs 60–90 minutes because that is what it takes to do it right.

One audiologist, start to finish. You are not passed between a technician, a salesperson, and an audiologist. Dr. Eric Nelson, Dr. Meagan Ruth, or Dr. Rebecca Sherman sees you for every appointment — from your initial evaluation through fitting, adjustment, and ongoing care. You build a relationship with your audiologist because they actually know you.

No sales pressure. We are an independent practice, not a franchise or manufacturer-owned office. We have no quotas, no upsell targets, and no incentive to recommend anything other than what is genuinely best for you. If hearing aids are not what you need, we will tell you that directly.

Same-week availability. Most new patients are seen within a few days. We do not believe in making people wait weeks for something as important as a hearing evaluation.

Direct access to your audiologist. Have a question between visits? Need a quick adjustment? Our patients can reach us directly. We do not route you through a call center or make you wait three weeks for a follow-up appointment.

In-Home Hearing Care

For patients who cannot easily travel to our office — whether due to mobility limitations, health concerns, or simple preference — we bring our full range of services directly to your home.

In-home visits include the same equipment, the same audiologist, and the same quality of care you would receive in our office. We serve Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, and surrounding areas.

This service is especially valuable for elderly patients, post-surgical patients, and busy professionals who would rather not add another trip to their day. Learn more about in-home hearing care.

Flexible Scheduling for Busy Professionals

We understand that Manhattan professionals have demanding schedules. Our Midtown office at 421 7th Avenue — one block from Penn Station — is designed for convenience. Early morning and late afternoon appointments are available, and our central location means you can fit a visit into your workday without losing half a day to travel. We also offer telehealth consultations and remote hearing aid programming for follow-up appointments when an in-person visit is not necessary.

Evidence-Based Care, Not Retail Sales

Concierge does not just mean attentive — it means rigorous. Every hearing aid we fit is verified with real-ear measurements, an objective clinical test that confirms the device is delivering the amplification your audiogram requires. Many offices skip this step because it takes time. We never skip it because it is the only way to know the fitting is correct.

Our founder, Dr. Eric Nelson, Au.D., trained at Weill Cornell Medicine and built Pinnacle around the standards of academic medicine applied to the personal touch of private practice. That combination — clinical rigor and genuine attentiveness — is what concierge audiology means to us.

Who Chooses Concierge Audiology

Our patients include executives and professionals who need to hear clearly in meetings and on conference calls, retirees who want to stay engaged with family and social life, musicians and creative professionals who depend on their hearing for their career, elderly patients and their families seeking compassionate and thorough care, and people who have been disappointed by assembly-line hearing aid experiences elsewhere. What they have in common is a belief that hearing care should be personal, unhurried, and done right.
